Do I need a certified copy of my filing?

Description of certified copies

When you register a company, the registration documents are listed on the Secretary of State website. You have the option of ordering plain copies or certified copies from the State Government.

Some banks will require a certified copy of your filing document. If you are opening a physical store, some states and cities will require you to display a certified copy in a visible place.

If you are doing business with another company and they require a copy of your formation documents, most companies will accept a non-certified copy of your documents. You can access a free non-certified copy on your state’s online corporate database.

WizForm can help you obtain a certified copy of your filing at any time. Just reach out to our support team using the "Help" chat in the bottom right of your screen.
